Illness and holidays

It has been a few weeks since I posted anything. We have both been ill. A bad chest infection hit us and refused to go!

Suzanna is fully recovered but  not full energy levels just yet. I have had to have two courses of antibiotics and a course of steroids to clear it. I am on the mend now but sleeping a lot.

We have come on holiday to Ashborne for a week for some R&R. THe weather is great today. Sunny but with a light breeze.

I have brought a few cameras on holiday with me, including my old Agfa 120 format.

I have managed to take some pictures so far but not many.

Now like a lot of people, I get the occational cold/bug etc. This is the first time I have been off work for many years. Work turned around and said' He must be very ill, He isn't even remoting in!'

I feel very out of condition and when I have more energy, I must make a great effort to loose a load of weight and get fitter. This chest infection has really taken it out of me.

We are at a place just outside of Ashborne called Sandybrook park. I am typing this from the verandah of our pine lodge. The sun is shining down on my back and there is a gentle rumble of cars in the distant. Apart from that, it is very quiet.

We have a hot tub on the verandah and I must admit, its rather good to sit in it with a drink out side.

My back has been playing up something terrible, but that is to be expected with all the coughing I have been doing I suppose.

So many jobs waiting to be done and so little time sigh. Still I am on holiday so No thought of jobs today!

We will go out this afternoon to visit some National trust place or other (we enjoy looking at old things! lol). Then into the pool and hot tub and then tea and a film. What more could you ask for when you want a bit of R&R?
